Vote Niall Crowley

Haggerston ward - council elections 5th May

We urgently need to get our city back to life and back to work. Here in Haggerston we have a huge opportunity on polling day. This administration is no longer fit for purpose. The imposition of LTNs and road closures is undemocratic, and has exposed its callous disregard for our elderly, disabled and families.

If we can win in Hoxton on 5 May it would be a massive, democratic blow for residents and against an administration that treats residents with contempt and is running our borough into the ground. Success for a grassroots, democratic campaign in Hoxton will send shockwaves across Hackney and London alike. It will give us citizens a chance to turn things around.

• Remove Low Traffic Neighbourhoods across the borough.
• Reopen every road and cancel every road closure fine.
• For Active Citizens not ‘Active Transport’
• For dialogue, democracy and an accountable Town Hall.

Our campaign, Horrendous Hackney Road Closures, has shown that residents possess a wealth of experience, creativity and energy that could help us solve so many of the problems and difficulties we now face.
We need a real democratic say. We need a range of views and opinions about how our borough and our communities are run. Putting a stop to the programme of road closures is just the beginning.
Vote for me, Niall Crowley, and let’s start clearing out the technocrats and careerists. Let’s call a referendum on abolishing the mayoral system so we can have more democratic control.
